At the morning arrival hall at Bandaranaike International Airport or your hotel (Colombo/Kandy), you will meet our Guide Warm welcome & Pick you up to the Nuwaraeliya.. It takes you through stunning landscapes of green and lush tea plantations and mountain views. On the way, you will visit the tea factory. In this you can see the tea manufacturing process. You can have the opportunity to buy original Sri Lankan tea packets. In the afternoon, you can leisurely visit Nuwaraeliya city. Nuwaraeliya is blessed with a salubrious climate, breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains and greenery. Nuwaraeliya, also known as ‘Little’ England’, was the favorite hill station of the British who tried to create the resort into a typical English Village. Overnight stay at Nuwaraeliya.
Early in the morning you will start your adventure day. Pick up Hortonplain National Park. It consists of ecosystems such as Montane evergreen forests, grasslands, marshy lands and an aquatic ecosystem. In view of the large number of endemic flora and fauna species, Horton Plains was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We start hiking at sunrise. From there begin the foot paths, visiting Bakers Falls, Big Worlds End Drop (884 Meters) and Small Worlds End Drop (274 Meters). also, misty surrounding makes it so real. It’s a circular Loop of 7 kilometers can walked comfortably in first part. During the trekking you can have your picnic breakfast.
Then you will start an adventure trek to see another foot path. It is named Kirigalpoththa Mountain (The 2nd Highest Peak of Sri Lanka), 14 kilometers up and down Trek and its 2,389 Meters Altitude. Trekking through the mountain’s grassland fringed and interspersed with patches of dense mountain cloud forests.
Then, you will take you to the secluded village of Ohiya for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, start your journey to Ohiya through Devil’s Staircase’. The 14km trail has a steep ascent with many sharp zigzag turns, and it passes through isolated tea plantation villages and pine forest with spectacular mountain views. On this trail, visit Bambarakanda Falls, which is the country’s tallest waterfall with a height of 863ft. Then, you can visit another waterfall named Lanka ella and can swim freely enjoy yourself in a natural pool. After lunch, our guide will pick the guide up to the next destination, Ella/Haptale/Udawalawa/Colombo or Kandy.
